SEARCHLIGHT

Do you understand the why’s and how’s of Jesus Christ’s death?

SCRIPTURE

Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled. He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him, and spit on him; they will flog him and kill him. On the third day, he will arise again.” The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about.  Luke 18:31–34 NIV.

SPOTLIGHT

Living men do not predict their death and resurrection. But Jesus Christ did! Today’s Scripture focus indicates that Jesus wanted to prove His divinity, by predicting His horrid death, burial, and resurrection. If what He predicted came true, then He would be truly God and everything else He had said would also be true.

There is a great need for you to comprehend why Jesus Christ had to die, and how He died. In the above Scripture, it says the disciples had no comprehension of what Jesus was saying. Of course, all that changed when He arose from the dead. However, it is extremely important that you understand the why’s and how’s of Jesus death.

Begin a journey with me as we delve into Jesus Christ’s final days of ministry. This will take some time, but it will be so worth your effort. Discover that Jesus Christ is the one, true living God, Savior of the world, Lord of lords and King of kings.

SOMETHING TO DO

There is only one dead man’s life that is worth looking at. There is only one dead man’s life that has changed the world. There is only one dead man’s life that continues to change the world. There is only one dead man’s life that will continue to change the world. Now that you have come FACE-TO-FACE WITH THE CRUCIFIED CHRIST, you can confidently believe that:

#1 God loves everyone and wants none to perish. John 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; Titus 2:11
#2 God’s salvation can only come through His Son’s crucifixion. 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 9:15
#3 God’s salvation is only received by faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 3:22-26; Ephesians 2:8,9

SOUL TIME PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, I confess you to be my personal Savior and Lord. Thank you for paying the price for my sin. You were sinless, and yet you became my sacrifice. I am so thankful. AMEN!
